If you have 2 or 3 days to spend in Goa, and have basically no major interest for the beach as such, what would you then recommend as places to visit and things to do?

You can visit the Hindu temples in the Goan hinterland (the original temples were lined up on the coast but the marauding Portuguese bigots powderized them; the idols were then re-installed by the Hindus in the remoter parts of Goa). You can also visit the churches in Old Goa. There are excellent wildliefe areas too (if you are into birding, Goa is a very good place). You can simply stroll around in Panjim and other towns. The possibilities are endless.

And don't forget - you can savour the finest fish preparations in the whole world in Goa!
