Kathmandu Hotel in May--Any Thoughts on the Radisson?
The location looks good. Would this be a good choice for a visit to Kathmandu? There are mixed review on Trip Advisor.
Thanks!

I don't usually find trip advisor reviews to be very helpful and when I read a few about the Radisson, I understood why you are confused. The Radisson is either wonderful or gross, depending on who you trust.
The Radisson would not be one of my first choices in Kathmandu. My first trip to Kathmandu, I stayed at the Yak and Yeti. And if I wanted to be right in the city, that's where I would stay again. My most recent trip I stayed at the Hyatt, which is walking distance to Boudnath and Pasupatinath. Those would be my top two choices.

Thanks, Kathie. I don't like the location of the Hyatt (except for our last night after returning from Chitwan) but I'm going to seriously consider the Yak and Yeti. I really appreciate your input.

Update: I just booked the Yak and Yeti. The hotel's website has a three night "Himalaya Special" for $139 per night for a superior room in the Newari Wing (including breakfast but not tax). I'm happy.
