Junk Boat or other boat in Halong Bay

Can anyone recommend an overnight junk boat trip (or is there any other kind) in Halong Bay? I see many advertisements, but it is hard to know what is best. Middle-of-the-road level of luxury is what we're looking for. It shouldn't be super-fancy, but I don't want to wash my own dishes, either. We're not backpackers, but we're not snooty, either.

The Dragon's Pearl sounds right up your alley.

I would book them (for the best deal) through Hanspan (a tour company) so you'd have R/T transfer from Hanoi + activites included in the price:

For more info on the boat itself go here:

Best of luck!

With your requirement, I recommend some suitable junk boats in Ha Long for you:
1. Dragon's Pear Junk, the cost for 2-3 people is around 105USD/pax for 2 days 1 night.
2. Huong Hai Junk, around 100 USD/pax. It depends on what kind of rooms you want to stay in too.

hi
I think, you can use Huong hai Junk, standard cabin or deluxe cabin, not too expensive.
For more luxury, you'd try Emeraude Junk, it's one of the best.

Did you know that all the boats in halong bar are owned between two shipping companies?

They then lease the boat out to the tour groups.

Check out a price with vietnamstay.com to compare me thinks
