Jakarta Fun

We went into a local market around 04.00, taking photos. When moving into the Meat Market, the meat vendors, using knives, pots and equipment, began banging out a rhythm. An early morning welcome for a visiting photographers.

After showing the video to residents, they had never seen such a thing.

Here a short video clip on Flickr:

We also walked along the canal across from the Best Western Hariston where resident have built rustic homes and shops, and got a hair cut.

So... we printed out/handed out, 150 photos from Copal Photo. Which was luckily next to yummy Capital Bakery.

You'll see, the photo project was a big hit. Here's a Flickr Album with some snap shots.

Stayed at Best Western Hariston, 17 km, 20 minutes from CGK.
The rooms were promo 515,000 ($US 40).
Great deal for the quality.

Walking down the street everyone was extra kind. Crazy nice kind. Wonderful people. Almost the best ever, anywhere. Many waived and asked to take photos with them.

Of course you have to make eye contact and smile. But that's mandatory for being a polite visitor.
