japan/china trip

Jump to last reply

hello, we will be visiting Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) and China (Beijing and Shanghai) end of this month. we fily into Tokyo and out of Shanghai back to US. after visitng Tokyo we will be in Kyoto then off to Beijing. my question involves transport from Kyoto to Beijing. I understand there is an international airport near Osaka (KIX?) that has nonstop flights to Beijing. Has anyone ever frlown out of this airport and how accessible/close is it from Kyoto. The other option of course is to take the train back to Tokyo but that seems a waste of time and the flights are not necessarily cheaper.

Also has anyone flown Air China within Asia as they fly nonstop from Kyoto to Beijing and between Beijing and Shanghai.

thanks in advance for any help!
