We'll be flying from Tokyo directly to Itami when we arrive in Japan, and plan to take the bus from Itami to Kyoto Station (we're staying at the Granvia). The website for the bus says to buy the ticket from a vending machine at the airport. Will the vending machine take a US Visa or MC without a chip, or will we need cash? Am I right in assuming we'll be able to figure out the vending machine without knowing Japanese?
Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!

On this page of the limousine bus website towards the bottom it says we accept these credit cards....list....at bus ticket counters....I myself haven't been there yet - will be in April - but a ticket counter sounds like a person...I did see what you refer to on another page of the site - I looked at the Japanese page and it says the ticket window is open from 8 to 21:30 so I wouldn't worry.
Thanks so much, Mara--we should be fine.
