Is Ko Phi Phi to Touristy?

My family and I are looking to travel to southern Thailand around April 12-17 and we were originally going to spend most of that time on Ko Phi Phi, but after reading some results we have learned it might not be the ideal island for us. I have read that Ko Phi Phi is a "party island" (is it really that bad?) and we are not really into that kind of scene. We also would like to avoid overly crowded beaches (would they be overly crowded in April?) and really touristy towns. I am fascinated by the lime stone cliffs and clear warm water that Phi Phi offers but I am just afraid that all the tourist influenced will ruin the island for my family and I. Any suggestions on other islands to visit (preferably in that area but we are willing to venture out if need be) with the similar lime stone cliffs, white sand beaches, and awesome snorkeling/warm water as Phi Phi? My family and I would really appreciate any suggestions or recommendations! Thanks!

Also.... would the weather during April provide a good experience for us if we were to travel to Phi Phi?
