Hi!
Yes! We have travelled with them on a 3 week tour of Rajasthan, Delhi, Agra and Varanasi last year and are leaving on Friday for a month in South India - again through Indian Panorama.
Have you checked out Tripadvisor.com? There is a whole thread about their merits.
They were honest, reliable, reasonably priced and in every respect a great choice. Feel free to ask if there is anything in specific you'd like to know about them.

I will check out Tripadvisor.I am just beginning to consider options. I am assuming you went on one of their custom trips. I see on their website that they have a few escorted trips. I've enquired about them but haven't heard back as yet. Do you happen to know anything about them? I have travelled in India before,in the north, a few years ago,and was on my own. I used Compass and had a wonderful experience. I thought this time (considering a southern itinerary) I might look into being with a small group. Thanks for your response.

I wrote them a few weeks ago asking about one of the itineraries on their site. They responded a few days later with some information on that plus an additional week they added on. I wrote back asking about the cost of the original one I asked about and also about their advertised escorted tours. No answer. Wrote again. Still nothing. This has been going on for several weeks now. Odd, as the feedback, as you point out, has been excellent.

We did go on a custom trip - did a lot of research into routes and itineraries and hotels first, though - but you can easily get them to make suggestions.
In my experience quotes on custom trips are no more expensive than small group tours, if there's two of you and you stick to a smaller vehicle. But perhaps you'd prefer having a full time guide that comes with a group?
You seem apprehensive about going custom? Anyway, yes, a quote would be impossible without approximate dates - prices for hotels vary wildly with season, off season and high season.

I did go custom on a previous trip, as a single traveler. Did all the research, etc. Great experience with Compass. I was just investigating a group possibility this time. In any case, I have now heard from Panorama so as soon as I decide which way to go, I will get more information from them. Thanks.
