Sounds like fun, Hanuman! I remember our last night in our hotel in Bangkok (this past December) like it was yesterday. There was a fantastic Jazz trio (and an amazing singer!) at The Living Room at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
I ended up heading down there for one G&T's (which, natch, turned into 3) and some really tremendous sets.
Unfortunately, the DH doesn't drink, nor does he like jazz. Two cardinal sins, in my book.

Bob,
The organizers have PAID me not to perform this year. They say it will be better for their business! Looks like over a dozen of my friends will attend and we will just sit on the beach with some snacks, wines, beers and just watch the concert from dusk till midnight.
filmwill,
That's a shame your DH doesn't like jazz especially that you guys are from CA! One of the first jazz event that I went to was the Monterey jazz festival and fell in love with it ever since. He doesn't drink either? My god all those inexpensive delicious CA wine at every supermarket!
