Hotel Adivce for Bangkok Requested

Jump to last reply

I'm considering three very different hotels and I would like some advice please. We are in our 60s' (early and late) and will be in Bangkok for 6 nights in January. We would like convenient access to the usual attractions (Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Chinatown and to a lesser extent (can miss) Khaosan Rd) But we will be taking 2 day trips outside the city and so also need a hotel in the area for hotel pickups. We don't have a specific hotel type. We tend toward spacious and modern but also like hotels that ooze the local culture. Since we are traveling a lot lately I want to try to reduce our hotel budget but I am having trouble doing that. Here's what I am looking at:

Villa Phra Sumen Bangkok $501 (for 6 nights) Booking.com rating 9.1
The Seven Luck $163 (for 6 nighs) Booking.com rating 8.8
Bangkok Dream Apartments $668 (for 6 nghts) Booking.com rating 9.6 2BR with Washer

Which would you choose. Alternatively, do you have a better suggestion within that budget?

Thank you for your time and advice
