Hong Kong Airport to Causeway Bay and then to Macau Airport - Best way
I'm travelling on my own to Hong Kong, staying at the Rosedale in Causeway Bay for several days. I'm then flying to Singapore from Macau. Can anyone please let me know the best way to get to my hotel and then to get to Macau airport? I looked at several travel books but I'm getting confused. Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

What do you mean by "best"?
Airport to hotel:
- Most convenient is taxi. About HK$300 (US$40) ~45minutes
- Also fast: Airport Express to Hong Kong (HK$100 one-way), then taxi (~HK$50)
- Cheap, but single ride. Cityflyer Bus A11 to Stop #14 Sugar Street, Yee Wo Street. (HK$40), then short walk to hotel. However, the walk requires crossing the foot bridge, so it will be a problem with heavy luggage. About an hour.
Hotel to Macau Pier:
- MTR from Tin Hau station to Sheung Wan (Macau Ferry is connected, via tunnel) (HK$5 or HK$4.6 if using an Octopus)
- taxi (~HK$50)
Take the Turbojet ferry to Macau. Every 15 minutes, ~HK$160, 55 minutes.
Then a taxi to Macau Airport. (~MOP$30?) MOP (Macau Pataca) about the same rate as HKD, and taxi driver takes HKD at 1:1. 10 minutes.

Many thanks rkkwan.
I guess by best, I mean the easiest way with a suitcase, cabin bag and hand bag.
You've made my options much clearer by providing the names of the MTR stations. I think I'll opt for the airport express and taxi and then the MRT to Sheung Wan and then ferry to Macau and then a taxi to the airport
Grateful for your advice.

Yes, your hotel is about equi-distance from the Causeway Bay and Tin Hau MTR stations. Causeway Bay is a lot more crowded, so it's faster to use Tin Hau even without luggage.
If you're staying in HK for a few days, you'll figure out how easy or difficult it would be for you to get to the train from your hotel. Decide then if you'd just want to use a taxi. Not that expensive to get from Causeway Bay to Sheung Wan anyways.

Mac123: We stayed at the Rosedale last October for 12 days and loved it. We upgraded to the junior suite and got double the space which was great for a longer stay.
We also loved the location as it was on the "edge" of CB so close enough to indulge but far enough away for piece and quite. It's also across the street from vitoria Park which is nice for taking a walk and also just down the street from the main library. Cool place to visit and you can use the Internet for free.
