I am planning my honeymoon in phuket and the surrounding islands in Thailand. Should i go ahead with the travel planners or plan the whole thing myself? How easy it is to get the info from the internet and how reliable is it??

I would think you could easily plan it by yourself. No need for a travel planner, IMO.
Ask your questions here, and we will do our best to try to guide you in your plan.
Heavens! This is one of the easiest trips imaginable! Lots of info on the internet, and you can book on the web.
So tell us what you have in mind.
yourself...
look at jw marriott in khao lak or in phuket... we love khao lak
Thanks guys... I have an itinerary planned already...
) in these two places
Any suggestions on hotels in phuket and krabi? we are looking at luxury beach villas (still economical
Give us your itinerary and let us know where you need help. When is the honeymoon? What is your budget per night for hotels?
i like the sheraton krabi and really like amari vogue...neither has cottages
In Phuket, I'd personally go for the slightly mainstream Hilton or Moevenpick (both on Karon) depending on where I get a better deal. Nice and huge resorts.
Here is a website for Phuket hotel ideas. I have to admit for a honeymoon, I wouldn't be looking for a huge resort like the Hilton or the Movenpick, I'd opt for a small, more intimate place.

I've long come to terms with the fact that any place in Phuket will be full, so with the huge resorts I'm going for the lower density of people
However yes, I can see how some of the places listed in that list would be perfect. The Banyan Tree is really nice from what I hear on recent talks with friends.
What time of the year is your honeymoon. There are big differences in the weather. Prices go way up in high season.
In Phuket The Boathouse at Kata is small luxury, if you want pool villas the Centara Villas overlooking Karon are good.
Surin beach is also quite nice.
If you are going all the way to Phuket for beach time at least make sure you are in fact on the beach.
Khao Lak has great beach resorts also.
But you will need to decide on which beach and just how touristy you want it to be.
Unless you are planning on November, December or January I would suggest to look at Koh Samui also as there are excellent beach resorts, many with pool villas in resorts right on the beach.
There are lots of luxury and honeymoon places on

also has Khao Lak, Krabi plus Samui and elsewhere, some very nice places
The Shore in Phuket is lovely.
