Hoi An Hotel

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has feedback on either of these hotels in Hoi An - either the Cua Dai Hotel or the Hoi An Riverside Hotel. The Cua Dai is about $25, while the Riverside is about $65. Should I save my money and go with the Cua Dai?

Anna, sorry I cannot comment about the Cua Dai Hotel. Stayed this past April at the Hoi An Riverside Hotel for two nights and really loved this place just like Hoi An itself.
What a charming little town.
If you're going to stay just for one or two nights, I'd really splurge a little. You won't regret it. I really can't imagine what a place for only USD 25.- would be like.

Try the Vinh Hung 1 (not Vinh Hung 2)in the Old Quarter. Make sure to reserve one of the two second floor rooms overlooking the main street (with balconies). It is a 200 year old Chinese trading house filled with antiques and atmosphere. About $45 per night for the large upstairs rooms (2 double beds) with private bath. Although I made my reservations directly with the hotel, the following link gives information and shows a photo of our room:

http://www.vietnamadventures.com/hotels/rev_vinh.html

Just wanted to report, we're currently in Hoi An, we decided to go with the Cua Dai hotel. Its atmosphere reminds me a little of the River View Lodge in Chiang Mai but it's brighter and our room is nicer. It has very nice sitting areas to relax with a book or beverage. I'd highly recommend it; it's not right by the town center, but it is easy to walk or hire a motor bike (for 10,000dong) to give you a lift. We are paying $25 per night. Hoi An is a nice town, we ate at Les Amis restaurant last night along the riverfront. Mr Kim used to cook for the generals in the South Vietnamese Army. There is no menu, you tell them if you want meat or seafood and they bring you four courses. It was delicious, we plan to go back tonight.

Anna, Can you check out the Vinh Hung 2 hotel (NOT the Vinh Hung 1 which everyone raves about) in Hoi An? I'm in the same boat as you were: $35 for Vinh Hung 2 or $100 for Riverside. Thanks! We'll be there next month.

I think that you should choose Hoi An Hotel or Hoi An Beachside resort. They are in the same company and they are worthy staying. The rate for Hoi An Hotel is $ 35.00 per night and $ 70.00 per night. The detail of these are on the site: www.vietnamholiday.com.
