High Inerest Sights Not Far from Jakarta

Jump to last reply

We will be connecting through Jakarta and want to decide whether a day trip (9-10 hours) is practical to a destination that offers small villages of locals culture and cottage industies, very impressive natural beauty and/or other uniqie-type destination.
We do not want to have a guide fight Jakarta traffic all day and we have no need to shop other thanfor quality art but we don't want to run all over the city to go just from one gallry to another unless there is an artist enclave..
We have been to Central and East Java and seen the 3 magnificant temples and took a day trip to Dieng Plateau where the agricultural beauty rivaled Bali and Mt. Bromo..
We are not museum people but might spend 90 minutes at the National Museum the day of our departure.
