Help with Price for Nintendo DS

I now that this probably sounds a bit premature but we have been planning our trip to Singapore and Australia in December since August 2005!
We will be in Australia for Christmas and I am wanting to buy my son a Nintendo DS and Labrador Dogs game for his Christmas present. I am just wondering whether it would be cheaper to buy one in the UK before we left or to buy one in Singapore whilst we are there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
