Has anyone used Sanctuary Ananda to cruise in Burma?

Hello all! I've been searching this forum for posts or reviews with the Sanctuary Ananda boat cruise in Burma (Myanmar) and found none. I am booked on a tour to Burma next year that includes a 4 night cruise on this boat. Anyone used them? Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I've never heard of them. Doing a bit of research, it is a new ship, launched in 2014.

If you want a cruise in Burma, I can highly recommend Pandaw cruises. It's a local company and was the first to offer cruises in Burma, beginning in the mid-1990s. We sailed on the Chindwin River in northern Burma for a week in November 2015. I do have a trip report here if you are interested.

Thank you Kathie but this tour I am booked with uses the Sanctuary Ananda for cruising. I've already read your trip report and loved it! I also understood that you love Burma and have been there several times.

Thank you Smeagol, great to hear your friends had a fabulous time . I read great things about it, didn't see many reviews though, but I found nothing here. Like Kathie said, it's a new boat launched in 2014, maybe there aren't many reviews yet.

Oops - I missed that you've already booked this trip. Sorry about that.

Have a wonderful time in Burma. Our last trip to Burma, we met up with Smeagol in Yangon.
