Hanoi hotel near train station/recommendations

Hi,

I will be in Hanoi at 5:45 pm and will be taking the night train to Lao Cai. I will be on a 3-day excursion to Sapa and then arriving back to Hanoi via the night train. I arrive at 4:30am in Hanoi.

1. Any hotels recommended near the train station? I heard there is more than one train station. What should I do in the early a.m?

2. I will only have an evening (5:30pm - 8 pm) and a morning/afternoon to spend in Hanoi. What are the must sees in such little time?
