Looking for advice, suggestions for female solo traveler to Hanoi in Feb 2013. Only have 3 days in Hanoi. Thinking of doing a Halong Bay Cruise. Is it worthwhile as a single traveler? Any particular company that is recommended for solo travelers?
Thank you

The issue isn't that you're a solo traveler, it's that you don't have enough time. You could easily spend twice that long in Hanoi, and there's no point in driving all the way to Halong Bay unless you overnight on a boat when you get there.
Thank you. Perhaps I will spend the whole time in Hanoi, then.
Agree that you don't have enough time to do both HB and Hanoi --there is much to see and do in Hanoi.
Let's make it unanimous - spend your time in Hanoi. It's a fascinating city.
