Great Fares on SingaporeAir from US Right Now

Jump to last reply

I have travel planned through June 2016 already, but haven't decided where I want to go yet in March 2016. This popped up on my radar this morning, and I thought I would share with Asia board.

SingaporeAir has some anniversary fare sales happening right now that are looking very attractive in price, though the routing is not always the quickest. Starts at $850 to Singapore, and usually around $900 for SE Asia cities: http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/special-offers/flight-from-San-Francisco/

From NYC, you can get to Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar for $900, with travel valid from September 2015 to June 2016 SFO has deals to Hong Kong, Seoul, and large cities in India (these three with more limited fare periods) as well as SE Asia, LAX has deals to Tokyo and Siem Reap (again with more limited fare periods) in addition to SE Asia, and Houston's fares are coming in $25 - $50 cheaper, plus a flight to Moscow.

I am already weighing Cambodia for June versus safari (would want to go in the rainy season, and would hope to have fewer crowds), but I am going to take a hard look at SingaporeAir's deals for March 2016. I've never been to Vietnam or Thailand or Myanmar and would have an interest in all of those places.

Anyway, just sharing for anyone looking for some airfare deals! It probably works out better for those who will be on the ground a long time: I'll probably only have 10 days - 2 weeks, so I will need to find the fastest route to make things work.
