Good Honeymoon Location in August 2015 on a budget
Hi there.
I've read a few articles and forum topics and thought you all would be a great source to help with my issue
Basically, my partner and I are on a bit of a strict budget, so we decided to have a bit of a mini moon in Asia and do the big honeymoon on our one year anniversary.
The issue is, we haven't really seen much of Asia, and travelling from Perth flights can be expensive. We have a budget of $2000 - $3000 max to spend.
We would like to be as secluded as possible since it is the honeymoon, so maybe an all inclusive or semi inclusive resort would be nice, though if that isn't possible with our budget we are happy to just have a more isolated locale.
If there are any places in Asia that are less humid, they would be good for us as well because we aren't really warm weather people.
My partner also needs to be able to have mostly western food as he gets nausea easy and food he is used to helps minimise that risk.
We would like to avoid bali if we could and any of the main parts of thailand like phuket, however little islands would be a good option for us such as Koh Samui.

Indonesia will be less expensive than most other parts of Asia, and August is a good time. If you don't want Bali (have you been there?), why not try Lombok? I love Qunci Villas, and they have both hotel rooms and a couple of villas with private pools. They have excellent food, and your partner could choose things that wouldn't challenge his stomach. You can get to Lombok via Bali or Singapore or Jakarta. It's a shorter flight for you than getting to Bangkok or KL.
Koh Samui is as developed as Phuket, it isn't really a "little island."

Lombok is a good choice. Some other boutique resorts are the Lombok Lodge and Jeeva Klui.
I would reconsider Bali (unless you've been there and didn't like it). There are so many options for luxurious and secluded villas and resorts at affordable costs. You can have as much privacy as you like and then have all of Bali when you're ready to emerge. Just avoid the Kuta/Legian area.
A combination of Lombok (beach) and Bali Ubud (nature and culture) would also be good.

Isn't Bali High Season in August?
If I went back there I'd stay well clear of Kuta and Legian. Too in your face, and too much traffic
We'd start off, as we did recently, in Sanur. Then Amed, because we never went, but heard only good things about it.
Finally a few days in Ubud. I'd also consider a couple of nights on Nusa Lembongan, easy to reach by boat from Sanur.

Hi! Have you considered visiting Sri Lanka? You could find amazing beaches, go for a wildlife safari, visit cultural sites, and visit the beautiful mountain area if you prefer moderate climate. It is also affordable and includes a private driver, hotel accommodations and activities!
Another option is to visit the North of Vietnam. It could be a unique (and cheap) experience if you like to do a little trekking and meeting the Sapa hill tribes or go for a cruise on Halong Bay.

VN a good plan. Find MCD there too. But maybe not in Hanoi.
Suggest Chiang Mai Thailand, since very off season. Lots of lodging choices, scores of quality restaurants, walking for days in old city, out of town elephant camps, if rainy river rafting, visit hill tribes, find countryside chalets (The Nest in Chiang Dao). Not too humid and nights very nice.
