Good driver / guide in Central Vietnam Hue to Hoi An
Just came back from a day trip away from Hue to the Vinh Moc tunnels and a bunch of surrounding sites. Our hotel contacted this person to be our driver only, but when we met him, he told us (and showed us) that he is a licensed guide as well. His English was great, but his second language is actually French as he teaches French to school children.
He was a good driver and had a great knowledge of all the sites, as well as answering our many questions about Viet people and culture. I'd highly recommend him. Even though we hired him through our hotel, he subtly let us know (after I had asked for his card) that if we contacted him directly for another trip, it would be a lot less expensive than what we contracted through the hotel, and for what he did, I thought the price we paid was worth it.
