lee, is there anything in particular would you like to know?

gold coast hotel is in tuen mun, which is a considerable distance from the central areas of the city, although i believe there are regular shuttle services to tsimshatsui. you can also take a fast ferry into town.

rooms and catering are more than adequate. it's positioned as more of a 'resort' hotel due to the location.

As the above post indicates, the Gold Coast is considered a "resort" hotel as it is far away from town. I wouldn't recommend staying that far out (although they have shuttle buses) because it's inconvenient.
thanks for your replys. i am staying there because I have an appoinment in Hong kong on the 14th and no other meeting until I leave for Hangzhou on the 19th. How long will the shuttle take to get in to Kowloon. I heard the hotel has a great pool and is on the beach so I thought it would be a good place to chill. What types of people stay at the hotel

Lee, the GC hotel is way too far from the city. not much tourist there instead its an expat place. Shuttle takes about 45 mins to central (HK side) and possibly the same to Kowloon. Its a great place to chill out (considering how small hk is) but definitely a no-no for business traveller

oops.. sorry, expat is a terminology we used here in HK meaning *westerners working in HK*

Its near TUEN MUN (new territories) so you have to take a taxi when your party is over. I am not sure whats acceptable for you but it will take 45 mins to get to shopping.

Can i take ferry to Tsimshatsui and if so how long does that take and how log does the fast ferry take to Hong Kong Central close to Victoria Harbor. Actually our offices over look where the Canadian Destroyer was anchored a few weeks ago. that is where my meeting is on the 13th and 14th. After that i have nothing until the 19th
