Are you serious??? Are you bored and just looking to go check the place out?

If all else fails, join the Army. They'll be happy to send you there!
Happy Trails...
Not sure if you can fly, but people have put up reports of being able to crossover from near Peshawar. Of course, you should know the dangers that are involved (in Pakistan, while crossing and in Afghanistan). Also, if you're not sure how to get there, I suspect you've not researched enough about the conditions in Pakistan.

I met someone at the Atlanta airport who had come back from Afghanistan and in our brief conversation he said that after 2 weeks in Afghanistan all he wanted was a clean toilet - all to himself.
I was going to suggest that before planning a visit to Afghanistan you go read the more recent posts on this thread at LP: www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forum.jspa?forumID=13&keywordid=63 - but it seems to have degenerated into an argument about NGOs. Still worth digging through for info on the current situation if you're serious, though.
You can theoretically go overland from Iran, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as Pakistan, but this seems like a bad time to do it. Also from LP: "The most popular route from Europe or North America is to fly to Dubai, from where there are plenty of connections to Kabul. Coming from the east, the most convenient hubs to catch flights from are Delhi and Islamabad."
