We plan a trip to Singapore but we can only get Fragrance Hotel in Geylang Serai with the airline package. Anyone has any report, good or bad? I appreciate any response since we have to decide within the next 24 hours. Thanks
Kellyms

No idea about the hotel, but Geylang Serai is by the malay village and a biggish market in an area of Singapore that is off the main tourist trail. I know because we followed the walk in the Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness book last week.
It's not that far from the red light district, but far enough away not to be a problem. The area is much more 'traditional' than the centre of town and we found it quite interesting to wander. It's also close to an MRT station, so it is easy to get to the centre when you want to.
