Thai is the only one I know of that flies non-stop. Other options have stop-overs in KL or SIngapore.

Further to Kathie's answer - yes Thai Airways is the quickest and most convenient way to fly to Bali from Bangkok. Daily flight departing at 08.40arrival at 14.00 local time.

I just booked a flight to Bali through Borneo International in San Francisco...they are very helpful and I paid $500 less than the listed price on kayak.com. I would ask for Jerry...he's great! See reviews below.

Borneo International

Yes Thai is the daily non stop, otherwise KL or Singapore.

Jenna:

Sometimes people find great deals but sometimes those deals are not as great as perhaps others know about.

Why not say what the actual ticket 'cost you'!
Then perhaps others can repsond as to whether that was a deal or not !
It could be a great deal but maybe others found better.
If you can say they got you such a $ fare on a particular airline and a particular date then that is a great help.

As far as kayak is concerned I did 'glance at it' a few months back just out of curiosity and certainly for fares this side of the world I just laughed at how high they were!

People are often asking for good agents so if these guys are good it's certainly I agree a great help, but i am sure others will be asking 'How much ?'

Jenna, do give us the info on your flight. Was it from Bangkok to Bali or was it a flight from San Francisco to Bali? What airlines are you using and what was the price?

Hmm.. Jenna from the kayak web site the BKK - DPS on TG cost $900+ and on TG's own web site it only cost $441(15,440 THB). Other alternative on Kayak are the 1 stop flight on a Malay airline for over $500.

I apoligize for not being more clear.

My ticket from San Francisco to Bali on Cathay with 1 stop in Hong Kong round trip was $800 including taxes. I've been watching several sights (even Cathay) for the past 3 months for tickets to Asia. I found the flight I wanted (which was around $1400 on Cathay) and I called Borneo and was quoted the cost of $800. I did my homework and realized that this was a good deal ($500 less than quoted by several other sights) for me.

Anyways, they specialize in tickets to and throughout Asia. It wouldn't hurt to see what they have to offer.

oops - I hit post too soon.

That's a good deal. Cathay has specials like that from time to time.

Personally, I haven't found kayak to be all that helpful. The airlines own sites usually have better fares. (example noted above by Hanuman). Also, for tickets within Asia, I find it to be an advantage to use a travel agent in Asia. For instance, I use an agent in Bangkok for flights in and out of Bangkok to other parts of Asia. I find he can get me better rates than I can get from the US.
