I am looking into booking a hotel in China. Travel China Guide gave me the best price. Is it a legitimate site or should I be worried about giving them my credit card information? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with this company. Thanks.

Did you check the hotel website? It is very rare to find a site that offers a better price than booking directly with the hotel. Also easier to deal with any issue if you booked directly.
I have never heard of them but if you want to book through an agency, also check www.wotif.com (Australian) and ctrip.com (the largest online travel agent in China).
Give us the names of the hotels please...someone of us on Fodors will have stayed there and can give you far more practical info and reviews than the internet sites. Welcome to Fodors, Wendy. You're in the right place.
