Emirates starting Boston flights in March 2014

Thought this may be of interest ( not only for Bob ! )
and of course not just for Thailand ( buy hay, when on Fodors this is where I hang out ) - so that gives non stop BOS to Dubai and then connections to Bangkok and of course lots of other places around the Gulf + Asia and Africa / Australia etc for those in the Boston area. Dubai can be very 'interesting' for a stopover, plus also the chance to add on places like Oman ( great, amazing ) to a trip to Thailand or other places eastbound

They currencty have I think 5 per day onwards Dubai to Bangkok ( some on the A 380 ) and once a day non stop Dubai to Phuket
Yes, it will be on a 777 which means 10 abreast seating in coach/economy but they are from here at least dairly good on Business Class deals too
