Hello,
I'm leaving for India this Sunday, and I'm not sure what type of electrical adapter I'll need. One guide book has pictures of both a rounded two-prongs and a rounded three-prongs plug while another says that socket sizes vary so take a universal adapter.
Will I be ok with just a rounded two-prongs adapter or should I get a universal adapter ? I'll be visiting Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jaipur, and Agra.
Thanks.

They have everything! European two-prongs were most common, but we also saw wider thicker two-prongs and even US-style three-prongs. We took a small power strip so we could charge everything at once, plus an European adapter (already owned both of these), but all of our hotels had adapters as well. I wouldn't both buying the universal adapter unless you already have it.
I think you should get a universal adapter.
The one i have is 4 yrs old but identical to the one below. It's been to Europe, Africa, and Asia (India) hasnver failed to work, is light weight and costs less than $8 on Amazon. Even if you never have to use it, it's good for "back-up". Check for the HDE Universal International Travel Power Plug Adapter
