Driver Guide wanted March 2015

My wife and I will go to Sri Lanka in early March. Our plans are not definite yet. We would like to take a week with a driver-guide with good English travelling north to Jaffna and then returning south. After that we will possibly spend time in the south with our daughter's family in a couple of locations, eg Yala, Galle. So we will need someone plus car for at least 7 nights.

Use a local agency to arrange your car and driver. This will give you back-up in case anything goes wrong. We used Boutique Sri Lanka and felt they did a great job.

Hello Jim43..as Kathie told you can contact local travelling agencies and it is the best option...North side has now very peaceful background and there are so many places including "nagadeepaya" and jaffna fort..

I too have used BSL to book my car/driver and whilst I haven't used them yet ( we do that in Nov) I have been very happy with my dealings with them so far.

Hi
I am not sure how the forum works. I know of a reliable diver with good vehicles. He organises a few vehicles and drivers and has been doing it for family and friends for 8 years at least. Can I share this information or will be seen as advertising. There re also several reputable companies that also provide a good reliable service. Most people are charging Rs 45 /Rs 80 a km or a deal for 100 km per day and Rs 40 or above for any extra used Jane

Hi,

I suggest that better to contact some tour agents and give your activity and get price for that because if you go as KM base that will be charged much, average 1/2$ will go for per KM.
