Do you know Ratts service...Mr Boonya?
oh dear, Im not sure if this is the way to go? I know Ratt is good but, she is sending Mr. Boonya to service our trip should we choose to use her service. Anyone had him before? Tong is not available for us but may have Tom for our requested time. What do you think? We want to go to Kanchanaburi one day and another day Ayutthaya and a day around Bangkok

i guess the main question is how is his english?? that is the main problem with some of the other drivers that the guides have sent....also is he a guide or a driver?? ratt is only a driver but has tons of knowledge, but others do not meet her standards i fell....

I have emailed Cherry but have not heard back from her. I assume she is busy. I have also written to Tong who has a fellow named Tom available? Ratt has been consistently writing me but as we are getting down to the wire I have found out that she has someone else in mind to do our tours. I really don't want to miss out on information that will help us understand what we are seeing and doing. Thailand is such a long way from home I want to do it right.

I think that I would go with Tong's Tom. He is a guide, whereas Ratt and her people are drivers. Ratt may be able to provide commentary, but her other drivers, maybe not so well. If you want a guide, you should get a guide, not just a driver...and it seems like this is what you want based on what you've said.

I just returned from Bangkok the day before yesterday, and tried to book before I left on my trip with 4 of the most popular tour guide/drivers mentioned on this forum. All of them were busy and Ratt suggested I book one of her drivers Mr. Yuth for the day. He was very prompt, courteous, and nice. His English was okay, but he definitly was not a tour guide. He had a clean, air conditioned car, and was a good driver. I was disappointed I couldn't hire a recommended tour guide, and it seems like you are having a similar problem.
