Countdown to Japan Take-off (1st timer)

In 2 days I will be embarking on my one-month first time trip to Japan. Bags are just about packed, passport in travel backpack, 21 day Japan Rail Pass has arrived, all accommodations confirmed, dog food has been cooked, office has been packed (moving to new location while I'm traveling), plants has been watered (lots of rain here).

Any last minute words?

Have fun!

Well, OK. ATM cards (banks called)? Credit cards (ditto)? Directions to first accommodation? Itinerary? Mail and newspapers stopped?

You actually "cook" dog food? Well, anyone who does that deserves a lovely vacation.

Eat lots of fish, either as sashimi or sushi, or cooked.

Have a wonderful trip, and let us know how it went.

@thursdaysd, ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️, thank you.

@CaliforniaLady, yes dog gets cooked food. Thank you.

@Kavey, thank. I do have your list of people watching areas and plan to do some watching.

I'm hoping to post a daily update of what I did each day.

Hi, I was sitting next to your friend at the DC GTG Sat dinner and want to wish you a wonderful and safe trip.

My son took Japanese in college and we were talking about a trip to Japan He is vegan and I am vegetarian so no sushi or sashmi for us.

I'll be following along, have fun!!!

Hi KRNS,

It was such a great pleasure meeting you and your son at the DC GTG. A good time was had by all.

Yes, you and your son and me and my friend all sat on the veggie/vegan loop at the GTG. I will post of my veggie/vegan findings in Japan. I'm actually meeting my friend for dinner the day after I arrive and she said, "I found a great vegetarian/vegan restaurant just for you". I'll report back.
