My half day class included a visit to the market, some prep., cooking and eating (yumm). The most tedious parts of the prep. had been done for us.

Will be in CM beginning of February 2014 so this is from my research. Check it out. I like the Red Chili evening class as it includes launching a lanna lantern. Actually they all sound good!

Ate at the PunPun, near the CM Univ back road. Great vegetarian food and saw that Uncle Pun offered one day lessons at his restaurant for, if i correctly remember, 1000baht. This would be my first choice but i'm a very low key, humble guy and like the quiet places of life.

Hi yestravel,

Like Thursdaysd we enjoyed http://www.thaicookeryschool.com a lot smallish classes and lots of options on what you want to learn to cook. You also have the option of a day course or staying at the chefs house ( highly recommended!)

A link to my trip report from 2011

Thanks everyone! I will contact the schools and see what they offer for 1/2 day classes. We will only be in CM for 2 full days this time. Have a couple things we want to go see, so a half day is all we want to spend at this point. Staying at the Chef's house might be fun. We love the place we stayed last trip, Pak Chiang Mai, but will have a look at your blog, crellston
