Clean hotel near BKK for early flight

Hi,
Seeking recommendations for hotel very near BKK for short overnight before early morning flight. Need someplace clean with easy access to airport.

Been getting great advise on other hotel questions and hoping this is my last one! Thanks!

Are you wanting to move hotels for one night before you fly out? That is, will you have been staying in Bangkok before your flight out of BKK? If so, I recommend that you not move hotels - the drive to the airport will be about 30 minutes very early in the morning. The shuttle from a nearby hotel will be maybe 10 minutes. I always stay at my in city hotel the night before my flight back to the US, which is always very early. Besides you want to spend your last night in the city, have a wonderful dinner, etc.

On the other hand, if you have just an overnight, say getting into Bangkok near midnight and flying onward the next morning early, say 8 am of before, than I stay at the Novotel right at the airport. There are less expensive places farther away, but the one at the airport is the most convenient. It's also clean and comfortable.

I also wouldn't change hotels. I usually have early morning flights and just get either the AOL service or a regular taxi to drive me to the airport.

Happy Travels!

Be careful where you choose for an airport hotel. We stayed at BS Residence a couple of years ago.

Nice place, best swimming pool we'd had on the trip. Had to be at the airport @ 0400, so got an early night.

Suddenly @ 2200 the room started to shake with a deafening noise. The hotel was v.close to 2 Thai beer gardens, the action starts @ 2200 and carried on at full throttle until 0300.

"...either the AOL" Correction: "AOT" service.

I also leave for the airport from the city. My flight usually leaves around 6am. It means getting up early, but I have never had a problem making my flight.

Agree with Kathie on both points. If you must stay near the airport the Novotel would be my choice too.
