Choosing destination while travelling with infant

Hi, we want to travel for 3 to 4 days to celebrate my dads 60th birthday arnd 16th july. We have a one year old infant. We live in india and am unable to zero in on a place either in india or abroad that can be covered in that time. Because of the baby we are not looking at a hectic or adventurous trip but a relaxed one where we can do things at our own pace. Thanks

Grat topic in general--I have a 10 month old grandchild and keep wondering where best to go!!
Need a bit more information though. Where in India do you live (in terms of access to places nearby). Do you want to travel with the baby on a plane or train, or would driver be easier for you all traveling as a family?

hi, I live in Bangalore. There are a lot of places nearby which can be covered in a day or two, but we have seen most of them before the baby was born. And since its my dads birthday, want to go somewhere nice. Travelling is not an issues, we can do road or air. If it is road would prefer 5-6 hrs drive or a flight of the similar time is also ok. We were looking at options like Singapore or Hong Kong or in northern India like Kullu Manali or Srinagar.

assuming since you are in Mysore, that you've been to the Kabini Lake resorts eg The Serai (formerly Cicada) or Orange County ? And to the hills around Coonoor?

What about Kerala? The gorgeous beaches on the Kannur coast? Farther south nr Cochin? Do-able via road.

Singapore is fantastic. We were there for 5 days in late Feb. and 3-4 days is ok really. It can be expensive but then again the hawker stalls are clean and plentiful. There is Little India too so plenty of Indian food for you. It's very clean and has very low crime. I think you all would like it.

IMO, 3 ot 4 days isn't enough for Sri Lanka, but it's a good amount of time for Singapore.
