Chinese Visa and Tibet Permit

Jump to last reply

My husband And I are going on a 26- night trip to Asia. We are US citizens.

After visiting Tokyo we will fly to Chengdu, stay three nights and then fly to Lhasa and after 4 nights we will go to Nepal overland with a private tour.
The tour company will take care of our permit to Tibet. I need to get my Chinese visa through mail with one of these visa companies.
I called HQ visa and explained my situation and the person who answered the phone told me that I should not mention anything about Tibet on my application and I should make a fake itinerary on line and send that in.
I don't feel comfortable doing that.
I was wondering if any one has any suggestion for me.

Thank you
