China Visa via HK and Macao; Single Entry or Double Entry?

Jump to last reply

I am an Australian who will be applying for my visa for a month-long visit to China next month. I will be arriving in Hong Kong and staying a few days there, then I intend taking the T100 train to Shanghai and continuing via various parts of mainland China before departing to Malaysia.

While I am in Hong Kong I am considering a day trip to Macao. If I do that, will that count as an entry to China causing me to need a double-entry visa? Or will a single-entry visa be sufficient?

TIA

Cheers, Alan, Australia.
