Chiang Mai hotel with sweet attentive staff
I would like to pay no more than around 1,700 baht, or 50 USD, including taxes and fees. I'm finding nice rates around 1,200 or 35 USD, but these are for accomodations that are lacking in this or that. The more favorable hotels are running closer and over 3,500 or 100USD. Big decision.
Don't get me wrong, I know I will compromise in some ways, priorities for me are to be around kind, helpful and gentle people, knowing you are valued is a huge comfort when traveling alone! I enjoy quality tasty food and most of all a location that I can freely go out and return for rest periods.
Thank you sincerely.

Regarding Baan Orapin, please note my experience there on this thread today:

As mentioned, it was about 10 years ago and, though I loved the place, I wouldn't book again before knowing the problem was corrected.
