Cheap Delhi area hotel recommendation?

I will be flying into Delhi in mid December, and I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a cheap or mid-range place to stay in Delhi, or in the surrounding areas. Thanks!

there is no such thing, but there are "less" expensive places...location is what you need to decide...

i am staying for a couple of nights at the Thikana B&B--check it out on google...

do you have any hotel points which you might use?

what do you mean by "cheap or midrange"--can you be more specific? Do you want New Delhi or "Old " Delhi? Central, or a bit out in the "suburbs"?
A friend just stayed at Palace Heights Hotel nr Connaught , and said it was excellent. I consider it midrange at about $125/night.

You can't stay in Delhi or the surrounding area. Delhi is HUGE. You need to select the area of Delhi you want to stay in depending on your plans. Do you want to be near the airport, site seeing, train station?

Thank you guys for the recommendations. As for the specifics, I have no idea where I want to stay. Clearly, I need to do my research. Thanks again everyone.

Oops, I mean to say I have no idea where I want to stay, as I have never been there before.

What is your itinerary for Delhi? What places do you want to visit? That will help narrow down where to stay.
