I've heard various things about the weight, length, etc of the bags one can carry on during domestic flights. I have a carry on thats 22 x 14 x 9. My travel agent thinks that's fine especially since we're traveling business. However, I have read the proper size should be no larger than 20 x 13.78 x 10. Help!!!

Domestic travel where? Not that it matters. Personally I've never measured my own carry on bags, nor have they been measured by any airline personnel. I wouldn't worry a thing about it unless you have a huge bag (which yours does not sound like) or you have many items to carry on.
22 x 14 x 9 is the dimension allowed by most airlines of the world; or some will allow 45 inches (l + w + h). Some US domestic airlines allow up to 51 inches.
So overall, your bag should be allowed by most airlines. But you need to check with the specific airlines you're flying to confirm.
We will be flying in China and hadn't been able to find any information on carry on sizes from either Dragonair or Air China's websites so, thanks for the information.
