Car, driver and hotels
We (young at heart couple) are planning our second trip for around 2 weeks and would like help from a well recommend company. We are want to visit the Northern mountain (ethnic villages and scenery) Hanoi and HoiAn in June.
Can you recommend a company? Many Thanks!

We recently spent a couple of months in Vietnam, most of it was DIY but for our trekking trip through the national park from Mai Chau to Ninh Binh. We met with a number of agencies and shortlisted two; Tonkin, as mentined above and Ethnic Trave. Both came up with similar options and similar prices but when asked to do something a little different, Ethnic were way more responsive than Tonkin to our request so we went with them.
Our trip was not without one or two minor issues ( they never are!) but all were resolved quicky and we had a great time.
Details of the first part of that trip are now on our blog:

Also on the blog are post about Hanoi and Hue.
Hanoi is easy to explore by yourselves so you don't need a tour and getting from Hanoi to Hue is easy by train or plane. You best bet for tours there is to organise via your hotel on arrival. Don't miss the Imperial Toms in Hue!

Thank you all for your time and recommendations. It is always so reassuring to get reviews from real live people. I understand there is always potential for problems but when you read the company handles it well is important.
