Can I bring wine to Hong Kong from Australia?

I've never tired to bring wine oversea, but I know the limitation is not to be more than 1 litre. It's not a problem for me. The problem is, I will first fly to Malaysia from Australia as a transfer, then from Malaysia to Hong Kong. And I wonder if I could buy some wines from Melbourne Airport and brought them with me until I arrive to Hong Kong while "passing by" Malaysia Airport?

ps. Sorry if there's some misunderstanding as I'm an ESL student.

the purpose of this itinerary is not saving money.. I have something to be done in Malaysia and the time allowed me to stop by before arriving to HK. But my parents asked me to bring some wines for them from Aus after the flight's booked..

Are you stopping over in Malaysia for some time? If not your luggage should be checked to go directly to Hong Kong. Shouldnt be any problem.

It's likely you'll go through security in Malaysia, and your liquids (over 100mL) in hand-carry items will be confiscated. It has nothing to do with Hong Kong and/or customs requirement. If you have to bring wine from Australia, you have to put them in checked luggage and check to HKG.
