Hello,
I've been reading all about how it is better to make domestic travel plans in Vietnam as opposed to overseas, because of better prices, more options, bargaining power, etc. However, I am landing at midnight, and the very next night, I'd like to get on an overnight train (soft A/C sleeper car) to Hue. I don't think I should wait to book sleeper cars on the same day. Has anyone booked domestic train travel in advance, in North America or on any website, and what was your experience? I know it will be more expensive, but I want to guarantee a bed on this particular overnight train.
This is for the end of June.
Thank you,
Robin

You'd better to book your train tickets in advance with a Vietnamese travel agents. It's cheaper than to book with an agent in America. There are a lot of travel agents which can meet your demands like waytovietnam, tracevietnam or tnk...Good luck!
Hi, we have booked accommodation at the Golden Sun Hotel (www.goldensun-hotel.com), gets good reviews in Tripadvisor. They have booked our sleeper carriage and cruises to Halong Bay in advance with no deposit etc. Will pay when we get there. Costs for the train are on their website Cheers
