Business class air to Singapore
I will be traveling to Singapore on business in October. Is there any way to find a deal on a business class ticket from NY on Singapore Airlines? If not, has anyone made this trip in their "executive economy" seats? Is is bearable?
I will also be going on to Bankok alone...any suggestions for a womam traveling alone? Has anyone ever traveled on the Orient Express between Singapore and Bangkok?
Thanks!

We took this flight 6 weeks ago. Don't know about deals as we were flying on miles. My wife and I were in business and our children were in the back of the bus. While business is obviously preferable, I think even I (I'm 6'7" could have dealt with the back of the bus. It's really nice. I didn't feel at all sorry for my children. There's something like 5" of extra leg room, seat back video, great service, etc.

I haven't done the Orient Express Trip from Singapore to Bangkok, but I did do some research on it. It's VERY expensive. I didn't want to spend my money that way.
My suggestion fro a woman traveling alone - have a great time. Frankly, I find Bangkok to be a very safe city, and I've traveled alone to Bangkok a number of times. There are great places to stay and amazing sights and shopping.

I have traveled from Singapore to Bangkok on the train/bus/taxi combination and loved every minute of it. BUT, if you are traveling alone--and don't mind paying the price-- then my advice is to go for the Orient Express trip! It looks wonderful. Have a great time!

We took the Orient Express train from Bangkok to Singapore and it was wonderful. Yes, it was expensive but worth every penny. Not only is the train fantastic, but the excursions are great too. I don't think you'll regret it.
