There is a hotel on the corner just a couple of minutes walk to Bunrungrad, I 'think' it is called the Mark, let me ask around, it is very nice 2* about B 1,200 a night, I'll get back to you.

Tai Pan is about B 1,300 ( $30 ) or the Zenith about B 1,900 ( $5 ), Zenith is easy walk, Tai Pan also close, the Eruo Inn should be a little cheaper.

I agree that having dental work it's nice to be close to your hotel!, the Zenith is just a 'short walk'.

Good luck and don't worry, I hated going to dentists but the Bumrungrad is simply Brilliant! and you don't have to worry about a thing, they are great!!

the jw marriott is very close but maybe that is too expensive...i think the hospital has a hotel?? send an e-mail to their internation customer service dept....they are very nice and will make suggestions i think..tell them what you want to pay...the hospital is very cheap too...maybe you can just stay there...

Actually the hospitel 'is' cheap to stay! I Think it was B 2,400 for de-luxe room because I went there whilst living in Phuket and planned to actaully stay there as I really liked the idea to have the dental work done and be 'wheeled' staight to a room where i would be looked after etc. depends how 'big' the dental work is, if it's a big job then it seriously can make very good sense to actually 'stay there', they have Starbucks and Pizza House in the hospital!! I think the Mark..place on the corner is no longer there, I got blank responses when I asked.

Dolcevita ( love the name by the way! ) a couple of Tips about Dental work in Thailand.
1> Your usual hometown dentist probably 'tells you' what you need done, in Thailand they tend to ask you what you 'want done'!
2> Do take an X-Rays or other records, these will be of use.
3> They 'literally' hold your hand !!

Wow, are dental procedures relatively safe in Bangkok? Now that I thinking about it, is teeth whitening safe and afordable there?

Logos, my research indicates that Bumrungrad is indeed a safe, accredited hospital, used by ex-pats, Embassy workers, etc. Incredibly inexpensive! Porcelain veneers here are $1300-$1800 per tooth. At Bumrungrad, $200 per tooth!

Anyone ever stay at the Zenith? Euro Inn? Atlanta? Any other experience with these or other sukhumvit hotels near the hospital appreciated.
