Anyone have experience flying Mihin Lanka airlines? They have incredibly cheap airfares (I'm flying from Dubai to Colombo), but are a new airline (only 2 planes). I am concerned about safety, solvency, and reliability. Thanks for your advice. Oh, to book a flight, you need to wire funds to the airlines bank account in Sri Lanka - no credit cards as of yet.

Given the current lack of tourists visiting Sri Lanka I would not invest in any tickets with this airline unless I was booking my flight on the day I wanted to travel.
What about Air Arabia from Sharjah ?
They are budget airline with flights to Colombo, and flying from Sharjah is much the same for you as from Dubai Airport.
If you don't want to taxi to Sharjah Airport then Air Arabia have their airport bus from Al Makhtoum Street near Clock Tower roundabout in Dubai which costs AED 10 each way.

Air Arbia does online credit card payment or if you are in Dubai now you can pay cash though UAE exchange or Emirates Post, they have that information on their website. There is a fee to use those services instead of online credit card payment.
