Boston GTG-Sacrifice
Through an unfortunate turn of events, the dinner portion of the Boston GTG will conflict with the second game of the Red Sox series against the Indians. Being devoted Fodorites, we will let the good times roll at the GTG and hope that the Carmine Hose prevail.

First pitch is at 8:37. The way these games go, there's no way it will end before midnight, so catching the important part of the game shouldn't be a problem. In theory, at least.
In practice, everyone I've seen at these things is gray-haired and ready for the New England Home for the Bewildered, so they can't stay up that late anyway. (Me, I've never been accused of having gray hair.)

I suppose we can eat fast... NOT... besides, I'm a Cubs fan. I have NO GAME to watch tomorrow night.
Brad, enjoy the concert.
Why does it always rain when I arrive in Boston? It started up just as soon as I got my Avis car...
See everyone tomorrow.

This gray-haired 49-year old was hoping for a (NY=Next Year) Yankee - RS match-up during the GTG. Too bad Jeane and I will just have to enjoy a relaxing dinner with those Fodors friends that manage to stick around. Do they have a TV at Similans?
Carol - weekend forecast looks nice but cool.

Would have gladly missed the entire game. How did we lose by seven runs in extra innings? The GTG could have lasted all night and I would have fared better. Perhaps it was those bad vibes from certain unnamed Yankees fans in attendance from Connecticut.

Given the cooperative nature of the Asia Forum and the relative lack of antagonism, I believe that it is necessary to include Yankee fans in the GTG's. We are an inclusive group. The afore-mentioned Connecticut YF has provided invaluable information in the past.

See my comments re: "the game" in the GTG Report. Jeane and I managed to make it back to the hotel in time to catch Manny's record-setting home run but were unable to stay awake for all 11 innings.

I left town before Gpanda could blame me for the RS loss. When I discovered the RS has lost this morning I knew I'd be in trouble. I have been rooting for them since my Tigers were eliminated.

Heartbreaker!! Maybe I should have gone to the dinner instead of trying to do work and watch the game at the same time! The night before had been so spectacular, I thought for sure the RS would keep it up...
What's up with those Rockies?! They need to share a little of that pizazz with the Red Sox already!
