I love the Columbus Day weekend shopping in NH, which would be the first weekend, but I'll be there (unless there is a trade show I don't yet know about) which ever weekend you select. Let the majority rule.

The first weekend, please: Jeane will be missing 3 consecutive Saturdays at her dental office starting later that month when we travel to Bhutan so she wants to put some distance between the GTG and the trip. In case anyone is wondering, we have planned the Bhutan trip around a couple of festivals there so the dates are already set in stone.

Bob - aren't you planning a trip to China second week of October? Better have your GTG the first week!

Does this mean that you and Linda will come back again, HT?

Yes Carol we are thinking seriously about it. Linda has some shopping spots she missed there last year marked down and if Bob can arrange for the fall colors to cooperate with the GTG timing its definitely a plan....just need to get the time off,lol

Aloha!

I always enjoy shopping in New Hampshire at the outlets in North Conway and one other smaller town. No sales tax, and the Coach stores have big sales going on for Columbus Day weekend.

Hope it works out and you can come back!!

Is this the biggest Asian Forum GTG? I may just plan a trip to NYC around this time so I can finally put a face to all the iconic Fodorites!

Cilla, yes, this is pretty much the most attended forum GTG of all. Lots of the Asia forum members will be there. You will recognize a lot of names. I agree it is nice to connect a name with a face. We also get a pretty good number of Europe forum members.

Once you guys have a firm date, I will look at booking a flight. The New Yorker festival is also around early Oct and has been on my to-do list for awhile.
