We have been attempting to book a flight from Siem Reap to Singapore on Silk Air. According to the airline and our US travel agent, this ticket must be purchased through a foreign travel agent because for whatever reason the tickets cannot be printed in the US.
Due to our schedule, we really can't fly on a different airline. Has anyone else come up against this when dealing with Silk Air (or even another foreign airline)? If so, can you recommend the travel agent you used to purchase your tickets? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can book online directly with Silk Air no problem. One way tickets are expensive, though. Jetstar Asia flies that route a few days a week and can also be booked online. We used them in August and they were fine.
We were also unable to book the SIlk Air flight online when we flew that route in 2001. I had heard that had changed, but maybe not. If I remember correctly, we booked it through our Bangkok travel agent, Eddie.

He is at the American Express Travel agency in Bangkok. He delivers our intra-Asia tickets to our Bangkok hotel, but others have had him express mail them for a fee.
I don't know if this helps but Silk Air is 100% owned by Singapore Airlines and Singapore Airlines handle/ticket for them wherever Silk Air do not have thier own office ( Silk Air in fact only have a few of their own offices in SE Asia .
Perhaps give Singapore Airlines a call and ask them.
Seatours as Kathie suggested may be able to help, I also have used them ( for over 15 years or more ) and they are 'excellent'.
Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I'm just glad to hear that others experienced similar problems. It seems the big problem stems from the fact that it is a flight originating from Siem Reap. Other flights on Silk Air can be booked via Singapore Air with no issue but this one cannot. The Sinagpore Air folks have been very nice to us and our US-based TA but they would not print the ticket. Jetstar isn't an option only because we need to get to Sinagpore on a day they don't fly that route.
So I think our best bet is to try Seatours given that some of you have used them with great succes. Thanks again for all of your advice.
