booking a hotel online in Asia

hi - has anyone tried booking a hotel at www.quickhotelrooms.com? seems like they have pretty good last minute rates in Singapore. i've been looking for decent site for reservations in asia for some time. tried asiatravel.com and they took several days to get back with the confirmation. thanks.

Jen

I am also trying to book hotels in asia and stumbled upon www.sinohotelguide.com
www.asia-hotels.com
www.asiatravel.com
I was wondering if these are reputable as well. Their rates are a lot cheaper than published in expedia or yahoo. Are they reliable?

hi
i've been to asia 5 times and have always booked online with the services you've mentioned. they are all professional, reliable and require credit card confirmation.
also, singapore airport has a voucher hotel service if you are staying just a few days and want to risk it- you can get your room when you arrive- all properties are represented- just make sure you say what country you are from- the girl thought i was canadian and showed me the rate in their dollars- making it much higher than my range- only when i called the hotel directly did i realize she was not quoting me in us dollars.
in any case- don't worry those places are legit- go with the cheapest.

i just stayed at le meridien changi, and made my booking thru quickhotelrooms.com. no problems at all. rate ($50) was MUCH lower than on asiatravel.com and received instant confirmation too. it's also not a pre-paid rate (you pay at the hotel), so no issues with e-payment. highly recommended.
