Best weather time of year for China

My husband and I want to see the Terracotta warriors in Xian. When is the best weather season for touring China? We will probably take a tour, any particular tour company better than others? Want value, but quality. What shots are they currently recommending for US travlers for China?

Spring and fall are the best -- with fall being my preference. I've heard and read good things about Pacific Delight both in terms of price and quality.

For shots, go to www.cdc.gov (center for disease control website).

Fall would also be my recommendation for Xian. We went in late October/early November and it was light sweater/jacket weather. Where else are you planning to go?

We went in mid-Oct. to mid-Nov.; the Chinese call it "The Golden Time." Corn drying everywhere near Xian, even on rooftops and on roads. Ripe orange persimmons hanging in the trees. Cool nights, warm days, little rain. Went with Pacific Delight. Excellent quarters, good guides, interesting everywhere. Beijing, Xian, Souzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, up the Yangtze to Chunking, Gweilin, Guangzhou, Hong Kong.

I was in X'ian in late Jan and it wasn;t bad weather. All depends what climate your from. I am from Boston, Ma. The books seems to say April/May, Sept/Oct but probably depends where your going. The Great Wall was cold in Jan, that I will say. My health insurance actually referred me to a travel clinic at a nearby hospital, you might try that. I traveled ijdependently with my bros so can;t help you on tours.
